Lead a team of 4 backend engineers, providing technical direction, mentorship, and delivery oversight while maintaining accountability for engineering quality and project execution.
Partner with product management and executive stakeholders to plan new feature initiatives, scope technical work, and align engineering priorities with product goals.
Led a forecasting diagnostics API project from conception through production, defining the technical approach, scoping and sequencing work, delegating implementation across the team, and driving the project through successful release.
Established engineering standards around code quality, testing, and technical documentation, improving consistency across the team and providing clearer expectations for development and release readiness.
Mentor and support engineers across backend, frontend, QA, and cloud disciplines, providing technical guidance, unblocking development challenges, and helping engineers successfully deliver complex initiatives.
Successfully transitioned and delivered projects inherited from the previous engineering manager, maintaining continuity and avoiding disruption to ongoing development and release commitments.
Improved engineering operational readiness by maintaining PagerDuty playbooks and establishing an onboarding process for new team members, reducing the operational burden on existing on-call engineers.
